Plum muffins

Super-tasty and easy to cook plum muffins with nuts – they disappeared from the plate in minutes 🙂 Don’t skip nuts: they are very important component!

The recipe is taken from the book of Claus Meyer ‘The Nordic kitchen: one year of family cooking’. I halved the amount of butter and sugar – plums gave enough sweetness.


  1. Butter (soft) – 70g
  2. Sugar  – 100g
  3. Eggs – 2
  4. Wheat flour  – 140g
  5. Nuts  – 30-40g
  6. Plums  – 10

How to cook:

  2. Preheat oven (200 C degrees).
  3. Mix butter and sugar together – while they become fluffy. Plum muffins - butter with sugar
  4. Add one egg, mix and add the second egg. Plum muffins - butter with sugar and eggs
  5. Add the flour. Plum muffins - dough
  6. Add nuts (I cut them into big pieces) .Plum muffins - dough with nuts
  7. Cut the plums in half, remove the stone and splice plums into large cubes. Gently mix them with dough.Plum muffins - dough with nuts and plums
  8. Put the dough into the muffin pans. Plum muffins - ready for baking
  9. Bake the muffins in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes. Remember, all ovens are different: in my case baking took about 25 minutes.
